Information From the council

The Area of “The Western Capital of Ancient Japan” has expanded!
2020-06-19

Dazaifu City Japan Heritage Utilization Council applied to the country for a revised "Western Capital" story and a list of new cultural properties including in Dazaifu City and seven local governments.
And today, on June 19, the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology announced the recognition.

Along with this, the wording of the Japanese heritage story has been slightly modified, and in addition to the 19 cases in Dazaifu city that had been certified so far, 11 cases out of city have been newly certified, There are a total of 30 cases.
